Demo, beta, and DLC

There is no public Metro 2039 demo download and no announced beta. The first hands-on demo was on the show floor at gamescom 2026, at 4A’s stand and Xbox’s stand, rated USK 18. Paid add-ons named so far are the Specialist Pack and a Deluxe story expansion planned for 2027.

Night firefight beside a burning barricade
Combat scene from the Steam screenshots, not a downloadable demo.
A mutated creature lunging in a wrecked street
A mutant encounter from the same marketing set.

I read 4A’s gamescom posts and Deep Silver’s FAQ together. The thank-you note after the show talks about more than 150 media and creators playing on site. It does not attach a Steam demo app. The FAQ says there are no further DLC plans right now, and that a roadmap with free updates will be published. I am not turning “free updates” into a season pass.

Named add-ons

The Specialist Pack is the pre-order gear, Steam app 4177190. The story expansion ships with Deluxe and is planned during 2027, not described as a launch-day unlock. Anything else you see labeled “Metro 2039 DLC release date” is ahead of the publisher.
