The Metro games, including 2039

Metro 2039 is the next main first-person game from 4A Games after Metro Exodus. The playable series before it is Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, the Redux remasters, Metro Exodus, and the VR game Metro Awakening. Deep Silver’s series material cites 50 million copies sold across the series by 2026.

I used the official “story so far” framing and the store dates, not a ranked list of “best Metro game”. Best is a taste question. Order is a fact question, and it has its own page. The 50 million figure is the publisher’s number. I did not audit retailer charts to re-add it.

Main releases

2033 and Last Light were later rebuilt as Metro Redux, including a Switch release of that remaster in 2020. Awakening is a VR side story from 2024, not a replacement for Exodus. 2039 is the 2027 game this site is about.
